As we near the finish line, we want to give you an inside look at some of the cards you will be receiving with your copy of Proliferation: The Game of Nuclear Strategy. Our amazing creative team, made up of Sam Meredith and Lila Brissette, did a stunning job at bringing the board game that started out on index cards to life. We can’t wait for you to play our game!
Infrastructure Cards: Infrastructure Cards are resources which may yield additional EP for your country during a Collection Phase.
Mission Cards: Mission Cards help you gain advantages or sabotage other player countries.
Trade Agreement Cards: Trade Agreement Cards are opportunities for diplomatic engagement between two player countries.
Alliance Cards: Alliance Cards expand your catalog of country abilities by creating diplomatic ties with non-nuclear countries.
Event Cards: Event Cards determine a condition that may impact the turn(s) ahead.
Collection Cards: Collection Cards set a condition for how all player countries can collect EP.
Nuke Cards: Nuke Cards are used to attack other player countries and stifle their economy by reducing their number of lives and inflicting Nuclear Winter. If a player country loses all of their lives, they are immediately eliminated from the game.

Dear Backers,
We want to start off this update with a bit of transparency and appreciation toward the best community of backers a game design team could ask for.
When we launched our Kickstarter in May of last year, we first gave an estimate for delivery of December 2021. In hindsight, we now see that this was overly ambitious at best. While we genuinely believed in the first delivery date we set for ourselves, we quickly found out just how intense it was to design a tabletop game as playable as Proliferation: The Game of Nuclear Strategy.
We then pushed the delivery time back to this month, May 2022, in a previous update to our backers. Having to push this date just a bit further again, we wanted to sincerely apologize for such an underestimation of how long it would take to complete this game. We appreciate each and every one of you for your patience and support.
In an effort to get the game to our backers more quickly, we will be sending out the PDF version of Proliferation to all of our backers as soon as our design files are completely finalized. At the latest, we should have this PDF to our backers in July. However, we are hopeful to send it out a bit before then.
During this final stage in the process, we also pledge to check our Kickstarter direct messages at least once per day. We should get back to any message within 24-48 hours moving forward, so do not hesitate with any questions or concerns you may have.
We will also be posting another Kickstarter Update next Wednesday, with an extensive preview of our card designs.
As we get ready to send all of our files over to our manufacturer, we want to hold off on giving another delivery estimate until the ball is completely in their court. Since we picked an American manufacturer, there will be no exorbitant wait times for international delivery, meaning that we hope to get this board game to our backers by the beginning of Fall. We are excited to be in the final stages of this process, and want to thank each and every one of you again for your boundless patience and understanding.

Happy War Games Wednesday, friends!
We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Thank you so much for your patience while we bring Proliferation: The Game of Nuclear Strategy to life. All of you have been immensely supportive and understanding, and have been an amazing community of backers.
We are putting final touches and approval on our rulebook and design files! The finish line is in sight and we are sprinting our way towards the end. The next step in the process is to approve a prototype, then it’s on to the final manufacturing process. We cannot wait to show you how the prototypes turn out, and give you a sneak peek of what will soon be arriving on your doorstep!
Taking into account international instability, prolonged delivery times, and the cargo ship delays that occurred last year, we have decided to lock in an American manufacturer. We are proud and excited to be able to support an American company, and we are confident that this can also help us to do better quality control and hedge against any instability in the world.
In other news, our Proliferation pins and posters have all been sent in the mail! If you have not received either add-on after purchasing one during our Kickstarter campaign, message us on Kickstarter, or email [email protected], and we will make sure to get the problem resolved. We hope you are enjoying them!
War Games LV is also hosting Trivia Contests on its Instagram page, @wargameslv. We’re giving out free Proliferation pins to people who follow us, leave a comment, and message us the correct answer to a nuclear-themed trivia question. This month, we are also posting videos showcasing some of our finalized Infrastructure Card art, courtesy of our insanely talented digital media manager, Lila Brissette. Stay tuned for all the explosive things to come!

Happy War Games Wednesday, folks!
It has been a few months since our last update here on Kickstarter and we want to thank you for your patience as our project comes to life. We have been working diligently during this time to bring PROLIFERATION - THE GAME OF NUCLEAR STRATEGY to your next game night and we want to assure you that this project is being treated with the utmost care and respect.
The last few years have been exciting, crazy and turbulent for us and those around the world and many things have happened since our campaign became fully funded last summer. Just to name a few: our graphic designer’s computer broke, houses have been broken into and items stolen, and we have seen promotions and hectic schedule changes in many of our team’s day jobs. Regardless, PROLIFERATION is a priority for everyone at War Games LV and we are keeping our nose to the grindstone to bring everyone an incredible board game.
In our last update, we discussed an expected delivery date of May 2022, and we still believe this to be a good estimate. Again, thank you for all of your patience and the excitement you have shown us since our campaign became fully funded. We know the extra time, love and care we have shown PROLIFERATION during the last handful of months will translate to an amazing tabletop experience for anyone that plays our game for years to come.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the team at War Games LV want to show some love to our backers and give you a sneak preview of the amazing cards you will be playing with in the near future. All of the cards and illustrations you are about to see have been designed by the wonderfully talented Lila Brissette and Sam Meredith. We have been blown away by our creative team at every step in this process and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
In other exciting news, backers that ordered the “Original Backer Poster” and “Proliferation Enamel Pin” as part of our campaign should be seeing them in their mailboxes very soon. All orders are being sent out this week. To thank you for ordering posters and showing us your support as we build War Games LV from the ground up, there might be a little surprise in your package. *Wink, wink*
For backers that pledged for “The Collector’s Edition” and “Proliferation Master” tiers, you will soon receive a survey about your copy of PROLIFERATION. In the survey, you will decide which metal, 20-sided die ends up in your personal copy of the game. We have found some amazing dice and we look forward to hearing your opinions.
From the beginning of our campaign to the design and manufacturing process, this has been an amazing experience and we want to thank you for joining us on this journey. Halloween is right around the corner, which means that the year is almost gone. And what a year 2021 has been!
When we originally launched our Kickstarter campaign, we intended to have your copy of PROLIFERATION - THE GAME OF NUCLEAR STRATEGY at your front door by the end of December 2021. However, as that date approaches more rapidly, we wanted to take a moment to be completely transparent with our backers and say that we will not be able to deliver by that deadline. Instead, we now expect to have all board games delivered by May 2022.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
Being our first board game here at War Games LV, we expected to hit some logistical concerns along the way while fulfilling our Kikstarter campaign. Shortly after the success of our campaign,we proudly hit the ground running in terms of design and outreach, keeping up with the schedule we set for ourselves. However, the delay in game delivery ultimately came down to a few things: perfection of the design process, a better understanding of the manufacturing process, and international events which have affected shipping and materials worldwide.
Our team of graphic designers at War Games LV have been hard at work perfecting PROLIFERATION - THE GAME OF NUCLEAR STRATEGY on every level possible. While we are extremely pleased with the progress of this process, it has taken just a bit longer than expected. Our team members want to ensure that this project is of the highest quality in all facets, and we believe our work reflects that objective! As you will soon see, the game is full to the brim with beautiful designs and content.
A better understanding of the manufacturing process also allowed us to realize that we would not be able to deliver by December of this year. We underestimated the time range for a final print, making December an incredibly hard target to reach. Our new delivery date of May 2022 better reflects the elongated design and manufacturing process, and allows for us to have maximal input during the prototyping phase.
International events affecting shipping and supplies have been a major influence on our decision to alter our original delivery date, if not the most major. We originally intended to use a manufacturer in mainland China for the bulk of PROLIFERATION - THE GAME OF NUCLEAR STRATEGY, but just like in the United States, there are labor shortages and Covid-19 surges. All around, there are barriers that can easily derail a December delivery date. Global supply chains are being constantly affected by such barriers, with talks of Christmas supply shortages already surfacing in many nations.
We believe it is best to be honest and forthcoming with the changes we need to make to the promises we made to all of you. That being said, there is a chance to receive PROLIFERATION - THE GAME OF NUCLEAR STRATEGY before May 2022 if all things go well. We just don’t want to underestimate potential obstacles and be caught flat-footed.
